I know that I'm a little late for Christmas cards. I, somehow, lost track of time before the Holidays and they came way and went too fast.
Everyday, I would plan on making one but after I spent an hour in traffic, my creative mojo was gone. I wanted to get my Christmas cards out before I went on vacation... which was like a week before Christmas. I made these cards the night before my last day at work! I made 15 of these in like an hour.

Begining Project Life
I had been wanting to do Project Life(PL) for the longest time. Of course with work, school, family, friends, social life, and sitting in traffic, I never had the time. Getting this blog updated and making 1 card a week was a big task. I was also under the impression that it HAD to be a weekly thing and it was definitely something I could not commit to. But as I did more research, I learned that it does not have to be a weekly thing and it can be anything I want to. Now that I’ve gained back 3 extra hours in my day, I feel like I have more time to try new things.
I decided to start PL as a travel album with the pictures from our Costa Rica trip that we took last May. I originally was not going get a core kit. $30 for 500 cards sounded like a good deal but I read a lot of the reviews and many people were stating that some cards were unusable. I wish they came out with a travel theme kit. I did find a ton of FREE printables(via Pinterest of course!) but after printing some and trying to make them myself, I thought I should at least get one core kit to save myself some trouble.
Here are my supplies that I’m starting off with:
Project Life Core Kit - Seafoam Edition
Photo Pocket Pages - Design A
Photo Pocket Pages - Design D
Grid Cards 4 x 6
We R Memory Keepers Classic Leather - Kiwi (12x12 Ring) - I got mine at Target
I’ve also been purchasing different travel themed stickers and embellishments. And some are pre-orders from the Spring releases so they haven’t arrived yet. I’ve also subscribed to a monthly Project Life kit from CitrusTwistKits.
I got over 250 pictures printed at Costco and I'm excited to start my next journey and documenting my life.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Age Ain't Nothing But a Number
Hi Everyone! Of course I've been MIA again. Reason why: Dave and I MOVED. We left our super cute 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, backyard, and ATTACHED garage HOUSE in the suburbs for a 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom APARTMENT in the city! Sounds super crazy but if you were spending 3 hours a day commuting between work and home, you'd do the same too!
I'm excited and sad at the same time! I'm excited because I'm obviously be close to work and FRIENDS. I'm sad because, we're obviously sacrificing SPACE. I've also lost my CRAFT ROOM! I went from having a 15x10 craft room at my parents to a 10x10 room when I moved in with Dave. Now... I have a CORNER. But, sacrifices have to be made! I just told myself, that this would be TEMPORARY... until Dave finishes grad school and I finish school period.
So far, we’ve been adjusting to the apartment really well. We took a lot of our stuff that we didn’t need on an everyday basis to our parent’s house. I'm making use of every space that's available (under the couch, under the bed.) My poor baby, Cody, was confused at first but now he’s fine with it. We even have a little patio with some dirt for him to do his "business". He also gets to go on walks on the regular now. He’s an active dog so the walks definitely help. He doesn’t have all this built up energy at night and doesn’t keep us up.
I wanted to share a card that I made several months ago. It was for Helen's birthday back in July. I just realized that I hadn't posted yet.
I am pretty much all settled in and FINALLY have internet so I will have time for more posts.
As always, thank you so much for stopping by!

Ugly Christmas Party
Dave and I had our Ugly Christmas Sweater Party on December 15. We even had a DJ in the garage and a DIY photobooth (black sheet, tripod, and automatic timer on my camera) WITH photo props in my Craft Room. It was a lot of fun! I felt like all my Christmas decorations didn't have to go to waste since we had a lot of people over.
There were like over 500 pictures from our DIY photobooth. I had to edit a lot of them out. Here are some of them... all our props came from Dollar Tree, 99 Cent Only Stores, Thrift Stores, and our costume box.

First Letterpress Card
In November we celebrated Sally and Wendy's birthdays. It was a relaxing night with my friends and our loved ones. We talked, we laughed and we just had a good time. The older we get, we're doing less party like things and doing more adult like things. Me likey!
I opened up my Letter Press Starter Kit for the first time ever. If you guys remember, this was one of the gifts that Dave won me over with two Christmases ago. I was actually first introduced to letter pressing by Helen in 2011 when she made her own wedding invitations. We always talked about it but I never got around to actually playing with it. I'm glad I finally did though. If you already have a Cuttlebug or a Sizzix Big Shot, the Epic 6 is really necessary. We asked the lady at Hobby Lobby before we bought it and she said a Cuttlebug would work just fine and it did!
Pros - definitely creates beautiful elegant cards.
Cons - 1. WAY too messy. 2. There aren't enough premade letterpress plates. Custom ones are possible but it's a bit expensive.
I made this card for Wendy for her birthday. I wanted to create my first Letterpress card on my best girl!

Coral Tone Birthday Card
OMG I have abandoned my blog for SO LONG! I just realized that my last post was my “passing-out-at-the-gym” incident. Don’t worry I am FINE! Although I haven’t been back to the gym since! BUT here comes the excuses of why I’ve been MIA! I’ve been VERY busy with work and will continue to be! School ended 2nd week of December but I was been busy decorating the house for Christmas. I decorated every nook and cranny of the house (well minus our bedroom and my craft room). Dave and I had our Ugly Christmas Sweater party on the Dec 15th and we were SUPER busy getting the house read for the party. The party was the blast – pictures to follow (in another post)!
I was on vacation from Dec 15th - Dec 25th. Dave went to Texas with his family. The 3 days that Dave was gone, I spent a lot of my time with the bestie Wendy. She’s on break from school so she was keeping occupied while Dave was away. We ate a lot and shopped a lot. We visited our friend Thao who lives about an hour away from us. It was a nice cold rainy day spent inside Thao’s beautiful condo. Thao fed us nonstop as we sipped on wine and talked nonstop and it was one of the best days ever! The next day, I introduced Wendy to Hobby Lobby and she’s in love just like I was after my first visit! When Dave came home, we spent the whole day doing nothing and just spent the day together! I haven’t been apart from him this long, only his usual weekend Vegas trips with the boys.
The weekend before Christmas, we went to Santa Barbara to spend Christmas with his family. We saw his niece in the Nutcracker. It was beautiful! I had never seen a ballet before. One of the days we were there, everyone was at the house and coming from a small family, I was a bit overwhelmed with so many kids and adults! I have been making a lot of things and cards and took pictures of it. I just haven’t felt like writing the blog posts that goes with the pictures. I’m trying to get back into the swing of things and I’ll try to post more things.
I'm writing this blog post from a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf coffee shop. I feel kind of cool and lame at the same time. lol I'm sitting by a window with the my laptop screen to the street. So I feel like strangers are walking by are starring at my screen. Although, I'm sure people have better things to do.
I wanted to share this card with you all. It's a birthday card that I made for Sally. Simple but I love it. I'm loving coral/peaches lately. In cards, in clothes, in accessories. Almost everything I pick up.
Thank you so much for stopping and I really appreciate you all!
