Camping Trip Cut Short

Hello everybody!

Our camping trip was cut short when it started raining! We had originally planned on staying until Monday but we left the campsite by 10 am on Sunday. We even bought a fishing license for 2 days which we only got to use for about an hour!

Here’s our campsite and we were right next to the Kern River. Because it was Memorial Day Weekend, there were so many people!

While we were there, we went on a hike to a cave. The hike was suppose to be 2 1/2 miles each way. Let me tell you that it was not 2 1/2 miles! It felt like 5 miles each way. And 75% of the hike was incline! I thought about turning back so many times! I brought 3 bottles water in my camelbak backpack and I DRANK ALL OF THE WATER! So many other hikers told us we were almost there like SOOO many times

I'm glad I made it all the way to the top. The cave was pretty amazing though! It's crazy what people discover.

Since we came back early, Mike and I went to IKEA to buy some supplies to put up in my little craft space. He put most of the rails and shelves up yesterday. I will post pictures of that on Thursday! I bought some new punches from Joann’s and they should be arriving tomorrow. I want to add that before I take the pictures of the complete product!

Cricut Expression Dust Cover

Hi everyone!

It doesn't look like my craftroom will be done anytime soon because my dad hasn't found a contractor that meets his expectations. We’ve actually gone through 3 and still hasn’t been any luck. So yesterday I went to IKEA to buy some Bygel Rails to store my paper punches, ribbon reels, and miscellaneous items. Mike will help me put the rails up and 2 shelves too. But that will be done sometime next week because we’re going camping this weekend!

Each year Mike, Rony, Wendy and I go camping at least once in the Sequioa National Forest near Bakersfield, CA. Last year, we went white water rafting in the Kern River and camping on the same weekend. I nearly died when I fell off the raft and into the river. I joined the Kern River Swim Team! Lol. This year will be just fishing in the lake and hiking.

My mom absolutely love the Swap Meet. She goes EVERY single weekend. She even tried to go on Christmas Day! Of course it was closed. Anyway, on Saturday she bought a sewing machine for me for only $50 from the Swap Meet. It’s actually a decent machine. Pretty good for a starter one! I was going to buy one from Wal-Mart for about $100 but she bought me one so now I don’t have to!

Last night I tested out my new sewing machine! I made a Cricut Expression dust cover. I got the pattern from Custom Crops. This is actually the 5th one that I’ve made. I made 1 for myself and 3 to give away as gifts to some of my friends who has Cricuts a couple of Christmas’s ago. It’s actually pretty simple but adding pleats on the side is hard! I have a couple of things I want to make, like a insulated curling iron holder! I had a pattern a couple of years ago and now I can’t find it!

Here is my new toy!

While I was sewing the dust cover

The dust cover on the Cricut. It's a bit messed on the left... I need to fix the pleats!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I’ll be bonding with mother nature and hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I’ll see you all next week.

party like a rockstar!

Hello everybody!

I am super duper tired. I had a fantastic weekend! Disneyland & California Adventure on Friday. World of Color is absolutely amazing. Eat your heart out water fountains at Bellagio Hotel!

Saturday was the celebration for Rony’s birthday. I felt like a celebrity! Got my nails done, hair done and got picked up in a limo. A Porsche Cayenne limo to be exact! It’s kind of funny how when I was getting my nails done, they asked me if I was going to PROM! Then when the limo came, there was no alcohol in the limo because they thought it was for a prom. We went to party in Hollywood. I haven’t actually partied like that in such a long time! I slept all day yesterday to catch up on my sleep!

Here are some G-Rated pictures from Saturday night! It was a blast.

The most awesome people!!

Thank you so much to Wendy & Rony who invited us to celebrate Rony’s special day with them!

Thank YOU for reading about my rockstar life! *wink wink*

Graduation Congrats

Today is Friday! I’m probably on my way down to San Diego. I made this graduation card for my friend Nai’s roommate Farm. Farm is graduating from USC’s School of Pharmacy. Isn’t that awesome? I made her this card to congratulate her. I think it’s just the cutest!

Wow! So many candles...

Hello everybody! Today is my Friday! I am off work tomorrow. I haven’t really had a day off since Cancun/Santa Barbara!

Happy Birthday Rony!

Here’s a picture of us from Lake Tahoe when we went in January.

Rony is Wendy’s boyfriend and Mike’s best mate! I’ve actually known Rony since we were about 12! We went to the same middle school and high school. But we didn’t really hang out until he chased Wendy(Mike as his wing-man!) to Las Vegas when we were there for a girls trip. (Wendy and I love telling this story. Of course they love to deny it) Anyway, Rony has became one of my best guy friends. There’s nothing that he wouldn’t do for you. He’s probably one of the best matured guy friends I have. He truly is one of the best people in my life. And of course there would be no Mike without Rony.

Since we’re celebrating Rony’s “birthday month” (as he likes to call it) I’ve been very busy this week. Tonight we’re having a little get together at their house. Tomorrow we’re going to go to San Diego and will probably stop by at Disneyland on the way back home! Having season passes is awesome!

My card today is obviously for Rony! He will be 25 today. I know that’s still relatively young but I thought it would be funny if I used the “Wow So Many Candles” sentiment from My Creative Time’s Stamp Set – Wow So Many Candles. He’s actually very matured and successful for being 25. How many people do you know that owns their own home at the age of 24(moved in last year)??

Good Friend

Good morning everyone! It’s Monday and as always the weekend is never long enough! I hope everyone had a good one.

I guess Blogger fixed their issues and everyone’s posts from Thursday have magically appeared again. So on my blog, there are 2 posts. I wanted you guys to make sure you sure my project from Thursday… *wink*

My Papertrey Ink Stamps arrived on Saturday. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!! They even provide you with a clear CD case to store the stamps. The best part – the give you a sticker of the stamps that you can put on the clear CD case so you can see what you stamps will look like! I will definitely be ordering more stamps from them in the future.

I had a fantastic weekend! I finally spent some time with Mike. He’s been working so much lately that I hardly ever saw him. But we spent pretty much all of Saturday together. I surprised him with breakfast in bed. Caught him playing Xbox! I didn’t tell him I was heading to his house already. We had a fun day together. Yesterday, he went paintballing with Rony so I spent the day with Wendy. Sally came to join us too! We felt bad that we dragged her everywhere. Because normally, Wendy and I just go shopping and we just go from store from store.

On to today’s card! When I saw this stamp at Joann’s and I just had to have it! I thought I had a cartridge with a telephone on it but when I searched on my Gypsy… It wasn’t in any cartridges that I owned! So Wendy was kind enough to let me borrow her Wall Décor and More Cartridge that had a telephone! Today’s card definitely goes out to my good friend Wendy, a good friend is definitely just a phone call away. She’ll even lend you the telephone!

Stamp: $1 Stamp from Joann’s

I have a busy busy week! Hopefully I'll get some crafting time in. Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a GREAT Monday!

IN YOUR FACE BLOGGER!

SO I'm sure everyone knows that Blogger was acting up and it didn't work pretty much all day yesterday. I know a lot of people lost their posts from yesterday. My post seem to have disappeared too BUT, you're going to laugh at this, I subscribe to myself on my Google Reader and it saved my post!!!  Right now I just copied and pasted yesterday post! IN YOUR FACE BLOGGER!

Thursday, May 12, 2001 -- Rule the World with Caffeine!

Yesterday, I visited the devil’s store(Michaels) again. Picked up a few things on clearance and some foam glue dots. Did you guys hear that some Michaels in Chicago reported that there have been some PIN Number Tampering at a couple of their stores? I ALWAYS use my debit card. I hardly ever carry cash because I tend to spend it faster. Anyway, while I was there yesterday, their PIN number pads have been taken off. I guess they’re taking precautions across the nation. A couple of months ago, someone tried to use my debit card at a gas station in Virginia even though I had the card in my possession! Eeeks, check your accounts! Thieves are so clever sometimes.

Then I went home yesterday to find that nothing had arrived at my door step. Needless to say, I was sad! However, I had a new stamp set from My Creative Time  that I hadn't used yet! It is one from her last release – My Favorite Sayings. It has a lot of cute sayings. I do love crafting and caffeine… but not a big fan of chocolate!

Anyway! Here is today’s card

Friday, May 13, 2001 -- You're the best!

Happy Friday! Friday! Friday! Gotta get down on Friday! Hehe it's Friday the 13th!! They're announcing the lottery numbers tonight! I bought a lottery ticket the other day. $27 million!!! I'd be happy with $1 million!

Here's today's card. I made this with my wonderful boyfriend, Mike, in mind! He is THE best! and he LOVESS pumpkin pie! His mom's theory of why he loves pumpkin pie so much is that when she was pregnant with him, she only had ONE craving. That was for pumpkin pie and it was in the middle of the night.

I had some technical difficulties making this card too!! I couldn’t use the punches correctly in the corners. I had to keep replacing the orange papers. That’s why there’s 3 shades of orange! Lol

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy birthday

Good morning everyone! Happy hump day!

I am super excited to go home because I’m hoping I have some stuff waiting for me at home! In the last couple of days… I bought a new stamp set from Pink by Design’s new release! It’s the Birthday, Birthday Stamp Set! It has a lot of different happy birthday stamps! And I thought I couldn’t have enough of that! THEN yesterday! I bought 5 stamp sets from Papertrey Ink -- Birthday Bash Sentiments Stamp Set, Signature Greetings Stamp Set, Signature Christmas Stamp Set, Boy Basics: Frog Hop Mini Stamp Set, Boy Basics: Out of This World Mini Stamp Set.

I HADDD to buy that many because I didn’t want to pay for shipping!!! I always feel iffy when I have to pay for shipping! I am most likely to buy something from you if you gave me free shipping! Anyway I’m super excited to use my new stamps!

Here is my card for today!

Cricut: Flower – 4 Hearts welded together from George and Basic Shapes Cartridge.
Stamp: Stampendous - Happy Messages
Punch: Friskars 4-In-1 Embossing Corner Punch - Shape Up & Friskars Border Punch -- Apron Lace
Other: Black Ink, White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Brads

The funny thing about these flowers is that… I was attempting to make a bouquet of paper roses. I knew if you welded the hearts together from the George and Basic Shapes Cartridge you can make roses! BUT I didn’t realize that it’s THREE hearts welded together and not FOUR! Since I had already cut a bunch of these with my pretty iridescent gold paper, I didn’t want it to go to waste!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Ribbon reel

Good morning everybody! It’s Monday! I hope everyone had a nice mother’s day! Yesterday, Mike and I made breakfast for his mom. We made omelets…. we as in ME. Lol Mike helped preparing for most of it though. It was omelets with mushrooms, red bell peppers, onion, mozzarella cheese, and turkey bacon. YUM! It was tough making 5 omelets at once. I had to make it for his dad, his brother, and for us too. Because his mom wasn’t going to eat on her own.

We didn’t do anything for my mom because my family don’t really celebrate any holidays. Every couple of months, I just take my mom shopping and let her buy whatever she wants. Next time, I should be careful when I tell her “buy whatever you want”… last shopping trip, she ended up spending $200!

After all the Mother’s day festivities we went back to sleep and we slept for FIVE hours… in the middle of the day! Then I wanted to go to K-Mart because they had spray paints on sale for only $2.99! I wanted the spray paint for my new ribbon reels from Kaiser Crafts!

I didn’t know that 2 of them come connected together. So my dad helped me saw them in half but I still had to sand it down so it comes out perfect! I used my nail files to sand them down! It worked remarkably well! After, Mike helped me spray paint them!

I started to put my ribbons on there but haven’t finished all of them. I didn’t realize that most of the ribbons I have are for gift wrapping (bigger than ½ inch). I need more scrapbooking/card making ribbons! Off to Michael’s I go! No, I’m just kidding… I swear that place is the devil…. Along with Joann’s!

I have another card to share with you! So we were suppose to give this to Mike’s mom but we forgot… so maybe next year!

Mother's Day Cards

Good morning everybody! Happy Friday! Sorry it’s been awhile since my last update! Work has been ridiculously busy! I’ve been having such a tough week. I even worked over time yesterday. And today, we’re suppose to leave early but we won’t get to. Isn’t that just great?!

I had an overwhelming work day on Monday and Tuesday. I had so much work that I felt like I was never going to see light at the end of the tunnel. On Wednesday, I lost my car keys while I was eating lunch with Melissa. We had all the waiters looking for my keys, even in the trash! I backtracked my steps – thought maybe I might have dropped it. We were going to call my boss to come pick us up because we didn’t want to be late going back to work. I had all these thoughts running through my head that my dad was going to yell at me because I had lost my keys (since it had my house keys, my grandma’s house keys, PLUS the car key) My mom was going to complain because she has to drive all the way to where I work to drop off the spare keys(she hates driving and she doesn’t drive freeways/highways. So it would take her forever to get to where I work). I was going to get a parking ticket (I park on the street and there’s an hour limit) It was just crazy! All this time that we were looking for my keys, the cashier who rung me up had it and didn’t tell anyone! Work was really stressing me out – I’ve never ever lost my keys before!

I have really bad allergies and I was getting post nasal drip. It was making me really tired and cranky. That same day… I get home and I dropped a Shake Weight on my big toe! It hurt so much I just sat on the floor, called Mike and cried! Lol. Sometime, it just feels good to break down and cry to feel better. Mike told me just to elevate my feet and lay in bed. The whole time I was crying and telling him I wanted to make a card! Hahah

Anyway enough of my eventful week. I have TWO cards to share today. I made these last week but I just didn’t have time to share!

Stamp: My Creative Time - Mom You ROCK
Punch: Friskars Photo Corner Punch
Other: Satin Ribbon from Dollar Tree

Cricut: Georage and Basic Shapes -- Welded the letter S and upside down triangle
Stamp: My Creative Time - Mom You ROCK
Punch: Friskars 3-In-1 Corner Punch - Lace
Other: Twine from Wal-Mart and White Gel Pen

Do you like my bootleg Superman sign??? Since I didn't have the Superman Cartridge, I had to improvise! I think it looks pretty good!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday! I have another Mother's day card to share tomorrow! Thank you so much for stopping by!

OMG!!

so Wendy just told me that they're opening up a new Michael's like 5 blocks from my house!

I am going to be beyond broke!!!
